Just a while after Ale and I took this picture, we got insulted and physically threatened by a stupid man today. While waiting for our french fries at some kind of snack bar, hugging and kissing, the guy pushed us without apologizing and started complaining to the person working behind the counter, saying they should take care of “the situation”, since this was a place where people eat. When he realised we were not going away, he turned to us, thinking he had the right to touch us. Things got heated when we responded in an angry tone, him approaching us and clearly threatening us physically. While backing off, Ale shouted “You think you own the truth because you are straight!”. People around were not doing anything, the guy further approaching, us shouting for police or security people of the S-Bahn and calling him out on his bullshit. He started shouting homophobic rants (“Drill your assholes someplace else!”), to which Ale responded with things that we don’t really remember, since at this point the world was sort of spinning. We quickly decided to leave the place, because people around would barely react to the attack, and we didn’t know what the guy was capable of doing. We would have loved to punch him in the face, but we could only scream at him a last “You’re a homophobic asshole!”, before taking the S-Bahn stairs without the food that we had already paid for. On our way out of this situation, the frustration kicked in. We couldn’t believe what had just happened, only able to hug while shaking. Ugh!
